Sophomore Annie Coleman has been cheering for the past three years.

Coleman started cheer in the eighth grade. From then on, her passion for the activity began to grow.

As a cheerleader, Coleman is a flyer. She has enjoyed this role ever since she started until January of this year, when she injured herself doing a stunt in practice.

“All I remember was the feeling of falling and then everything went black,” Coleman said.

From that day on, Coleman gets nervous to ‘fly’, however, she finds the courage to do it and do it well.

“When I joined, my coach said it wouldn’t be easy and at that moment, I knew she was right,” Coleman said.

Coleman is also involved in many other activities and clubs including: choir, theater, FBLA, and DECA.
